Giving You The Best Experience

Bear Watching

Bear watching tour lasts 3-4 hours. It takes place from Postojna two hours before sunset. It is suitable for adults and children 8 years and more. Experienced local guide and ranger is with you all the time to give you knowledge about bear bear biology and forest environment in Slovenia.

Forest Explorer

A hike with a local guide and a hunter is definitely the best way to feel the nature and relax in the Javorniki forests. The trail includes guiding and an interpretation of the nature of an experienced guide and a hunting snack with local delicacies prepared by us. Walk, feel the nature and meet the wildlife of the Javorniki forests!

Family Hiking

The hike is adjusted to getting to know and experiencing nature for the youngest (1-17 years old) and their parents. Together we will get to know forest animals and look for their tracks in the forest and refresh ourselves with local delicacies from the basket.

Forest Conservation

Join us at safeguarding forests from harmful activities and restoring degraded lands through reforestation. The goal is to balance ecological needs with human activities, ensuring forests continue to provide vital services such as wildlife habitat and climate regulation.

Bear Watching

We are bearers of the "Bear friendly" label, which specifies exactly how to carry out responsible bear watching.
Responsible bear watching in Slovenia means observing wild brown bears in their natural habitat while following ethical guidelines that prioritize bear welfare, safety, and minimal disturbance to the animals and their environment. Slovenia has a stable brown bear population (around 900 bears), and bear-watching tours are regulated to ensure sustainability.
Tours must be led by licensed guides, who know bear behavior and safety protocols.
Responsible bear watching tours prioritize minimal disturbance to wildlife.

We had a truly fantastic experience. Gregor told us very interesting stories, and you could really feel his enthusiasm for nature and bears. He answered every question in great detail. After about an hour, we were able to observe a bear for about 30 minutes. Gregor had binoculars for each of us. Highly recommended!

Really good experience. Tjasa was friendly, knowledgeable and really wanted the whole group to know as much about the bears as possible before we arrived in the hide. "Our" bear took a couple of hours to arrive and so it was too dark for photos - but it was still a magical experience to see a wild European Brown Bear in a forest clearing. Highly recommended overall - great customer and nature watching experience

        Giorgio Carmagnini

An excellent experience for observing bears in the wild. The tour is always conducted safely thanks to their experience. Obviously, bear sightings are not guaranteed, but given their large presence in Slovenia, it's quite likely. They have the bear-friendly certification, meaning the experience does not disturb the bears' daily routine at all, and they also monitor their presence. An experience not to be missed.

Our guide, Gregor, was very friendly and gave us a lot of information. We had a wonderful experience, I highly recommend it! We were lucky enough to see a young bear and some badgers. We were a group of nine, so it was a small group in a wooden cabin where we could observe the bears.
